Audio Art is an experimental and postmodernist art of the close of XX century and the beginning of the XXI century.
Audio Art is an integration of sound and visual art. Presentation of Audio Art appears in form of the concert,
performance and installation. Audio Art creates new concept of sound source: as an object and musical instrument
in certain space and time. Audio Art is a "one person art": composer, designer and performer unify the whole process
of art creation. Audio Art uses low and high technology. Audio Art Festival presents individual artists from all over the world.
Festival also presents other non-audio art events extending the whole image of the art based on sound.
Audio Art Festival events are webcasted live.

Andrea Pensado works with sound as a performer, composer and teacher. She has been using digital media and live interactive musical systems since 1995. She studied in Argentina and Poland. At first she composed mainly for acoustic instruments, however, she gradually felt more attracted by different sound realms. Today, the abrasive digital noise of her improvisations is far away from her earlier pieces. Harsh dense layers of sounds, often interwoven with her voice, combine hybrid synthesis and sampling techniques to create a highly personal sound language, which reflects an intuitive, emotional and paradoxically also logical approach to music making. She currently lives in the United States.
Presently, Pensado has been performing solos and has played with, among others: Walter Wright, Jules Vasylenko, I’d M Thfft Able, Forbes Graham, Ben Miller, Luther Gray… She was featured in venues outside the US like Brazil, Canada, Holland, Belgium, France, Germany, Russia, Lithuania, Latvia and Portugal.
Pensado works using digital electronics and voice. She uses Max as her main programming tool. The synthesis is articulated by a touchable surface, and other controllers. The voice has multiple functions: as a source, signal processor and controller.
The approach to programming and playing is highly intuitive. Sometimes the improvisations are loosely structured, sometimes they are not. Occasionally, the combination of the performance situation, the often abrasive sound, the irrational use of the voice and the inherent uncertainty of improvisations contributes to discoveries of unknown places in her mind.
