DM&P to trio z Krakowa, złożone z dwóch saksofonistów i elektroniki, prezentujące muzyką improwizowaną z użyciem autorskiego oprogramowania.

Eksploracje artystów krakowskiej sceny improwizatorskiej, napędzane są przez wiarę w bezpośredni wyraz skrajnych emocji i całkowitą wolność twórczą. Szczególny nacisk kładą na gesturalną manipulację elektroniczną żywych sygnałów akustycznych pochodzących z dwóch saksofonów. Rezultatem tego procesu jest bardzo nietypowa forma interakcji, który odrzuca upozowane estetyczne, kulturowe i społeczne granice.

DM&P is a trio from Krakow, composed of two saxophonists and electronics, presenting improvised music using custom software.

The explorations of the artists of the Krakow improvisational scene are driven by the belief in the direct expression of extreme emotions and complete creative freedom. They place particular emphasis on the gestural electronic manipulation of live acoustic signals coming from two saxophones. The result of this process is a very unusual form of interaction that rejects posed aesthetic, cultural and social boundaries.

The premiere material presented during the concert will be a piece in the form of an interactive arcade game controlled by sound signals.

Paweł Dziadur. Ur. 1976 w Krakowie artysta multi-dyscyplinarny, absolwent MFA Fine Art, Goldsmiths University w Londynie (dyplom z wyróżnieniem). Koncertował z projektami DM&P, Galloping Lethargy, Kraków Improvisers Orchestra. Oprócz live electronics autor technologicznych instalacji, rzeźb i tkanin oraz performance. Zrealizował  zagraniczne wystawy oraz rezydencje. Obecnie pracuje nad projektem twórczym integrującym ciało jako instrument poprzez live motion capture, dźwięk, Unreal Engine i VR wspieranym przez Arts Council England.

Sławomir Maler. Ur. 1977. Absolwent Akademii Sztuk Pięknych w Krakowie. Artysta multi-dyscyplinany, autor instalacji, malarstwa, muzyki, performance, saksofonista tenorowy projektu DM&P.

Philip Palmer. Saksofonista altowy, współzałożyciel Dziadur Maler & Palmer (DM&P) i jedyny założyciel zespołu swobodnej improwizacji Galloping Lethargy oraz Word Sound Pool, projektu łączącego muzykę i poezję w różnych językach.

Paweł Dziadur. Born in 1976 in Kraków. Multi-disciplinary artist, graduate of MFA Fine Art, Goldsmiths University of London (diploma with distinction). Performed with ensembles such as DM&P, Galloping Lethargy and Kraków Improvisers Orchestra. Apart from live electronics, the author of technological art installations, sculptures, textiles and performance. Took part in international exhibitions and residencies. Currently works on a project integrating the body as an instrument utilising live motion capture, sound, Unreal Engine and VR supported by Arts Council England.

Sławomir Maler. Born 1977. Graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków.  Multi-disciplinary artist, the author of installations, performances, paintings and music. Tenor saxophonist of the DM&P ensemble.

Philip Palmer. Alto saxophonist, co-founder of Dziadur Maler & Palmer (DM&P) and sole founder of the free improv ensemble Galloping Lethargy as well as Word Sound Pool, a project combining music and poetry in various languages.
