Ear Near - city sound installation is created by using variable simultaneous streams of sounds (in space and time) gently mixed with the natural sounds of traffic in selected areas of the city. Audio material comes from an wide library of the Polish Society for Electroacoustic Music and the rich repertoire of the Audio Tong. With the copyrights of the authors the selected material from both collections will be used to create new outdoor ambient, subtle sound structures (mixes, new compositions ) resonating with the natural sounds of the city space. Construction of the installation starts from the acoustic analysis of the selected locations, as well as a acoustic channels spanning those places. The acoustic map of the city covered by the excerpts of the selected repertoire of Polish electroacoustic music will be the final result.

In parallel to the macro size of the project the micro sound structures will be distribute in a selected public spaces: coffee shops, libraries, stores, art galleries, public areas with specific acoustics , where the material will be projected in a discrete and anonymous form changing slightly the acoustics of selected sites. Mobile players equipped with miniature speakers will compose the third leyer of the project.

Multi-channel electroacoustic composition screening will be carried out by specialized systems, sound systems built from individual speakers profiled acoustic and spatial characteristics, as well as scattered in miniature multipoint systems, sound systems built on a portable audio player.
