RICHARD BOULANGER - kompozytor i wykonawca, urodzony w 1956 roku. Uzyskał tytuł doktora muzyki komputerowej
na Uniwersytecie Kalifornijskim w San Diego (1985), tam też pracował w Center for Music Experiment's Computer
Audio Research Lab. Badania w zakresie muzyki komputerowej kontynuował w Bell Labs, CCRMA, The MIT Media Lab,
Interval Research, Analog Devices, oraz IBM. Jego współpracownikami byli: Max Mathews (Radio Baton),
Barry Vercoe (Extended Csound) oraz John Ffitch (Csound). Interaktywne kompozycje Boulangera prawykonywane
były w Centrum Kennediego, a z urządzeniami - Radio Baton oraz MIDI PowerGlove występował z krakowską
oraz moskiewską orkiestrą symfoniczną. Nagrywał pod auspicjami NEUMA, Centaur, Stanford.
Obecnie jest profesorem Music Synthesis w Berklee College of Music, gdzie został nagrodzony Faculty
of the Year oraz President's Awards. Publikuje artykuły o charakterze edukacyjnym poświęcone muzyce
komputerowej oraz kompozycji, zwłaszcza w zakresie muzyki elektronicznej. Wykłada na całym świecie.
Dla MIT Press napisał książkę "The Csound Book: Perspectives in Software Synthesis, Sound Design,
Signal Processing and Programming". Obecnie pracuje nad następną, zatytułowaną "Audio Programming in C and C++"

Jako kompozytor jestem zainteresowany rozszerzaniem... głosu tradycyjnie pojmowanego wykonawcy poprzez

GREG THOMPSON - programista i kompozytor, urodzony w 1981 roku w Baton Rouge, Los Angeles. Jako zafascynowany
muzyką dziewięciolatek zaczął grać na fortepianie. W tym samym czasie zainteresowany komputerami zajął się
także programowaniem. Po ukończeniu szkoły, rozpoczął studia Computer Science na Louisiana State University.
Dwa lata później przeniósł się do Berklee College of Music w Bostonie, gdzie w 2004 roku uzyskał Bachelors Degree
in Music Synthesis, co pozwoliło mu studiować zarówno muzykę, jak i programowanie. W Berklee pracował z
Dr. Richardem Boulangerem. Jest twórcą oprogramowania Max/MSP/Jitter używanego przez Boulangera podczas występów,
niekiedy także towarzyszy mu na scenie. Razem z Richardem Boulangerem występował w Kanadzie, Europie
i Stanach Zjednoczonych. Ostatnio pracował nad Audio Software Plugins dla Binary Acoustics w Los Angeles,
uczestniczył także jako student kompozycji (pod kierunkiem B. Schaeffera) oraz wykładowca Max/MSP/Jitter
w zajęciach International Academy for New Music and Audio Art: Avantegarde Tirol. W przyszłym roku będzie
kontynuował badania oraz studia nad oprogramowaniem muzycznym w Brown University w Providence.

PHILIP BOULANGER - wiolonczelista. Ma 21 lat, od 11 roku życia gra na wiolonczeli, obecnie jest seniorem
w Boston University (BU). Jego nauczycielem jest Michael Reynolds, członek Muir String Quartet.
Reynold zaczął go uczyć w Walnut Hill School for The Performing Arts - prywatnej szkole w Massachusetts,
gdzie od 14 roku życia mieszkał i uczył się Philip. Ostatnio występował solo oraz w orkiestrach kameralnych
w klasie Paula Katz'a z Cleveland Quartet, a także jako członek Borromeo String Quartet.
W 2005 roku wraz z przyjaciółmi z Walnut Hill, stworzył Highland Quartet, z którym koncertował w USA oraz

Laureat Festiwalu Pianistyki Polskiej w Słupsku (1987), stypendysta Fundacji Fulbrighta w The Boston
Conservatory of Music (USA) w klasie fortepianu Janice Weber w latach 1989-90. Studiował również pod
kierunkiem profesorów W. Mierżanowa, W. Obidowicza, J. Lowenthala. J. Sonnleitnera (klawesyn).
Dokonał nagrań dla Polskiego Radia, Polskich Nagrań i TVP. Występował m.in. z orkiestrami Polskiego Radia i TV
w Krakowie, Filharmonii Krakowskiej, Capella Cracoviensis, Toruńską Orkiestrą Kameralną, Kwartetem Olgi Szwajgier,
Gwendolin Bradley, Jadwigą Gadulanką, Andrzejem Hiolskim i Jeffreyem Nadelem; w USA, Niemczech, Austrii i na
Ukrainie. Brał udział w festiwalach: Visiting Artist Series w Berklee College of Music, w Operze Lwowskiej,
Poznańskiej Wiośnie Muzycznej, Dniach Muzyki Kompozytorów Krakowskich, Muzyka w Starym Krakowie, Konfrontacje
Chopinowskie w Antoninie, Festiwalu Kultury Żydowskiej w Krakowie, Fest der Kontinente w Berlinie i in.
Był wykładowcą i solistą Międzynarodowej Akademii Muzyki Nowej i Audio-Art w Seefeld, Austria - 2005.

TOMEK CHOŁONIEWSKI. Ukończył z wyróżnieniem Akademię Muzyczną w Krakowie w klasie perkusji Jana Pilcha.
Uczył się również gry na fortepianie i flecie poprzecznym. Brał udział w wielu premierowych wykonaniach
utworów kameralnych i orkiestrowych. Parokrotnie występował na krakowskim festiwalu Audio Art oraz podczas
serii koncertów muzyki elektronicznej. Był uczestnikiem (1993, 1994) i konsultantem (2002) Międzynarodowych
Warsztatów Muzyki Współczesnej Kraków / Stuttgart. W 2003 roku wykładał na Uniwersytecie Narodowym w Seulu.
Prowadzi również działalność pedagogiczną. Jego zainteresowania skupiają się głównie na szeroko pojętej muzyce
współczesnej. Wykonuje współczesne kompozycje kameralne i solowe, muzykę improwizowaną (w grupie artystycznej IA).

KONRAD TOMANEK - In 1997 I was accepted to the Music Academy in Bydgoszcz, where I worked with professor
M. Jasiński. In the same year I attended the young composers course in Bialopradnicki Manorhouse in Cracow.
In 1999 I passed exams to Cracow Music Academy where I studied composition under the supervision of Professor
B. Scheaffer and electronic music under the supervision of Asissting Professor M. Choloniewski.
In 2000 I was awarded a scholarship to Centre Acanthes,Helsinki. I graduated and received a diploma
from Music Academy in Cracow in 2003. In 2004 I graduated from the post-highschool studies in sound
production where I was conferred a title of sound operator. During my studies, many of my works were
performed on various festivals, such as, Witold Lutosławski festival, Young Composers for Cracow City Festival,
and many others. Since last year I have been working in Warsaw where I focus on movies sound postproduction.
Composer and Performer RICHARD BOULANGER (http://csounds.com/boulanger)
was born in 1956 and was awarded a Ph.D. in Computer Music from the University of California at San Diego (1985).
There he worked at the Center for Music Experiment's Computer Audio Research Lab. Since then, he has continued

He has collaborated, concertized, lectured, and published extensively with Max Mathews (Radio Baton),
Barry Vercoe (Extended Csound) and John ffitch (Csound). Boulanger has premiered his original interactive
compositions at the Kennedy Center and appeared on stage performing his Radio-Baton and MIDI PowerGlove
concerto with the Krakow and Moscow Symphonies. His music is recorded on the NEUMA, Centaur, and Stanford labels.
Currently, Boulanger is a Professor of Music Synthesis at the Berklee College of Music, where he has been awarded
the Faculty of the Year and President's Awards. He has published articles on computer music education and
composition in major electronic music and music technology magazines, and has lectured worldwide.
For the MIT Press, Boulanger has authored and edited "The Csound Book: Perspectives in Software Synthesis,
Sound Design, Signal Processing and Programming," and he is currently working on another major textbook
for them entitled "Audio Programming in C and C++," scheduled for release in 2006.

Compositionally, I am interested in extending the voice of the traditional performer through technological
means to produce a music which connects with the past, lives in the present, and speaks to the future.

Programmer and composer GREG THOMPSON (greg@rhythmicdesign.com)
was born in Baton Rouge, LA in 1981. Fascinated with music at an early age, Greg began playing the piano at nine
years old. He was also interested in computers and began writing computer programs around the same time. After
graduating high school a year early, he began studying Computer Science at Louisiana State University.
Two years later he transferredto The Berklee College of Music in Boston where, in 2004, he graduated with
a Bachelors Degree in Music Synthesis - a major that allowed him to study both music and computer science.
At Berklee, Greg has worked extensively with Dr. Richard Boulanger. He has used his knowledge in computer
science to design software in Max/MSP/Jitter for use in many of Dr. B's performances. He has also co-delivered
papers and performed on stage with Dr. B. in Canada, Eastern Europe, Austria, and all over the U.S.
During June and July, Greg developed a number of innovative Audio Software Plugins for Binary Acoustics
in Los Angeles. This past August, Thompson was both a Commissioned Composer-in-Residence -
writing purely acoustic music under the supervision of the legendary Boguslaw Schaeffer; and a faculty member
- teaching Max/MSP/Jitter to the other eight commissioned composers at The 2005 International Academy
for New Music and Audio Art: Avantegarde Tirol. In the spring of 2006, Greg Thompson will complete
the work on his Master's Degree in Music and Media Technology at Brown University in Providence continue
developing new music software for Binary Acoustics.
Cellist PHILIP BOULANGER (philipb@bu.edu), 21, has been playing
the cello since the age of 11, and is currently a senior at Boston University (BU) in Boston, Massachusetts
where he is majoring in cello performance. At BU, his principal teacher is Michael Reynolds of the
Muir String Quartet. He began studying with Michael several years ago when he was a student at the
The Walnut Hill School for The Performing Arts, a private boarding school in Massachusetts where he lived
and studied from the age of 14. Philip has recently performed in solo and chamber music masterclasses
given by Paul Katz of the Cleveland Quartet and members of the Borromeo String Quartet. In 2005, with
three virtuoso friends from Walnut Hill, he formed the Highland Quartet which during the summer of 2005,
toured the US and served as the "Quartet in Residence" at composer and string festivals in Utah and Maine.
SŁAWOMIR ZUBRZYCKI studied piano with Professor Tadeusz Żmudziński at the Academy of Music in Cracow and
graduated in 1988 In 1987, he was the prize-winner at the Polish Piano Festival in Słupsk.In 1990 studied at
The Boston Conservatory with Janice Weber as a holder of a Fulbright Scholarship, Also studied with; Victor
Mierzanow, Włodzimierz Obidowicz, Jerome Lowenthal, Johann Sonnleitner (cembalo). Recorded for Polskie
Nagrania label, Polish Radio and Television. Performed with Polish Radio Symphony Orchestra,
Cracow Philharmonic Orchestra, Cappella Cracoviensis, Toruń Chamber Orchestra and Gwendolyn Bradley,
Jadwiga Gadulanka, Andrzej Hiolski, Jeffrey Nadel; in Poland, Germany, Ukraine, Austia and USA, both
as a soloist and chamber player. He is a member of Olga Szwajgier's Quartet. He took part in Festivals;
Visiting Artist Series in Berklee College of Music, Fest. in Lviv Opera, Poznań Spring of Music,
Festival of Cracow Composers Music, Music in Old Cracow, Chopin Confrontations in Antonin Palace,
Second Jewish Culture Festival in Cracow, Fest der Kontinente in Berlin and many others.
He was a lecturer and soloist of International Academy of New Composition and Audio-Art in Seefeld,
Austria, 2005. His repertoire contains pieces of contemporary composers: M.Stachowski, K.Moszumańska-Nazar,
