Kompozytor, poeta i perkusista założył Miso Ensemble w 1985 roku. Duet - flet i perkusja,
uznawany jest przez publiczność i krytykę za jeden z najważniejszych portugalskich zespołów muzyki współczesnej.
Miso Ensemble regularnie występuje za granicą. Miguel Azguime otrzymał wiele nagród za kompozycje
i wykonania, komponował dla różnych zespołów instrumentalnych i/lub wokalnych z elektroniką lub bez,
muzykę elektroakustyczną, poezję dźwiękową, także muzykę do wystaw, instalacji dźwiękowych, teatru, tańca i filmu.
Wiele prestiżowych instytucji - portugalskich i międzynarodowych zamawiało u niego utwory. *
Muzyka Azguime wykonywana jest przez znanych solistów, renomowane zespoły i dyrygentów **,
była regularnie prezentowana na najpoważniejszych festiwalach muzyki współczesnej i elektroakustycznej.***
Poza działalnością kompozytorską i poetycką Azguime aktywnie działa na rzecz propagowania i rozpowszechniania
muzyki współczesnej jako kierownik artystyczny niezależnej wytwórni Miso Records oraz międzynarodowego
festiwalu Música Viva.
Od 10 lat Miguel Azguime jest producentem rozgłośni radiowej "Música Hoje" poświęconej muzyce współczesnej
w Portugalskim Państwowym Radio - RDP- Antena2.
Od 1995 roku rozbudowuje pierwszą w Portugalii Orkiestrę Głośników i jako badacz pracuje nad rozwojem
muzyki komputerowej, prowadząc wykłady i kursy temu poświęcone.
W 2003 roku założył wraz z Paulą Azguime centrum informacji o nowej muzyce Portuguese New Music Information Center.
W tym samym roku otrzymał nagrodę kompozytorską 2003 EMS.

The air in the text operates the form of the inner sound is a work composed and performed by Miguel Azguime
- composer, actor, and poet. The performance revolves around words (words as meaning and words as sounds)
and around the gestures of writing, which can be regarded as instrumental, and thus musical gestures.
Here the instruments - which may be his voice, percussion, a table, a pen or paper - are used as an extension
of his body and a projection of the sound of words.
Azguime's voice combine with an electro-acoustic sound transformation and multi channel diffusion system
which acts as a counterpoint to the poetry. It is a combination of music and drama, where the re-creation
of a poem in a technological environment takes us through the different senses and sounds of the texts.
Azguime, the composer, percussionist and poet has, over his many years as a composer and poet, intertwined
the words with the music and the music with the words. For the first time, Azguime has brought together
in a single recital a compilation of his music theatre and sound poetry works.

Composer, poet, and percussionist, he founded the Miso Ensemble in 1985, a flute and percussion duo recognised
by the public and by the critics as one of the most important Portuguese contemporary music groups.
Besides giving numerous concerts in Portugal, the Miso Ensemble has been presented regularly abroad.
Miguel Azguime has obtained various awards for composition and performance, has composed for diverse formations,
instrumental and/or vocal with and without electronics, electroacoustic music, sound poetry, including music
for exhibitions, sound installations, theatre, dance and cinema. He has received commissions from several
national and international prestigious institutions *.
Azguime's music has been performed by renowned soloists, ensembles and conductors **, being regularly presented
at majors festivals of contemporary and electroacoustic music ***.
Besides his activity as a composer, poet and percussionist, he remains actively dedicated to the promotion
and diffusion of contemporary music, as artistic director of the independent label Miso Records and of the
Música Viva International Festival.
Also for 10 years Miguel Azguime has been the producer of the radio broadcast "Música Hoje" devoted
to contemporary music at the Portuguese National Radio - RDP- Antena2.
He has developed since 1995 the first Portuguese Loudspeaker Orchestra and as a researcher he has been working
in the development of real time computer music, giving lectures and courses on this field.
In 2003 he started, together with Paula Azguime the Portuguese New Music Information Center. This same year
Miguel Azguime got the 2003 EMS composition prize.
