Cortronics to abstrakcyjne filmy krótkometrażowe stworzone przez
włoskiego artystę wideo Tonino Casula (historycznego założyciela Op Art), we współpracy z dwoma kompozytorami muzyki akusmatycznej: Marco Ferrazza i Roberto Zanata.

The Cortronics are abstract short films made by the italian videoartist
Tonino Casula, already historical exponent of the Op Art, in
collaboration with two composers of acousmatic music: Marco Ferrazza and Roberto Zanata. The videos of this selection are called by their author “Cortronici”
(Cortronics). Tonino Casula, in fact, explains that the term is a
compound word derived from “cortometraggi” (short films) and
“elettronici” (electronics). The “cortronics” are the result of a relationship that developed over more than a decade, and are based on the proposals of a visual artist with proven experience and the acoustic structures of the electroacoustic music. This result is expressed in real narrative programs in which the abstract concrete referents disappear to leave room for the communicative power of language functions. By thus born complex devices in which the relations between sound masses and visual solutions are obvious and intimately connected.
